Alright, so it looks like I haven't updated the ol' John Buck blog to talk about the past two games yet. So I'll do that now.
After the first game the Jays have had a little two game winning streak going. Not too shabby at all.
Oh could someone tell me who this new Vernon Wells is and what he's done to the old Vernon Wells? Four home runs in three games? Unheard of!
Ok, but enough of the rest of the Jays, lets get back to the Mormon Masher's stats.
April 7th 2010 vs. the Texas Rangers:
R: 0
H: 1
HR: 0
RBI: 0
BB: 0
SO: 3
SB: 0
AVG: .125
Alright, Buck had a hit (a double actually) and struck out three times. Not really a great game. But he's on the board for hits. That first one is always the hardest isn't it?
Let's move on to todays actaion and see... wait, Gaston played Molina today? You son of a bitch. Oh good he got an at bat in the game anyway, and he walked! That's right, use those damn skills they talk about in Moneyball. Look at those pitches go by! Take your base, you've earned it!
Alright, lets take a look at those season stats now.
Through three games:
H: 1
HR: 0
RBI: 0
BB: 1
SO: 4
SB: 0
OBP: .300
SLG: .250
AVG: .125
Alright next stop, first run of the season!
Blue Jays record: 2-1
